Nothing new in IAEA report: Iran's envoy

TEHRAN, Sep. 09 (MNA) – Iran's envoy to the IAEA said the new IAEA report on Iran is not something new and is just a confirmation that Iran is implementing commitments under JCPOA.

Reza Najafi underlined that the report is due to be investigated at the next meeting of Board of Governors of International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna.

He stressed the recent IAEA report confirms the implementation of Iran’s commitments to JCPOA.

Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano in his report on Iran, which has been released in Vienna on Thursday evening, said the agency confirms non-diversion in Iran’s declared nuclear activities.

The five-page report states the evaluations and investigations to confirm the absence of nuclear activities in Iran is ongoing by the IAEA.

The report has also emphasized that the Agency has monitored the implementation of JCPOA since the agreement was first signed in July.

Director general's report will be ready within one week to 10 days to be studied by the Agency's member countries before the meeting of the Board of Governors.

The next meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency is due on September 19 for five days at the Agency's headquarters in Vienna.
